Earned Value Management in Project and Programme Management
The vocabulary and method behind measuring progress by what has been earned rather than what has been spent or claimed. The piping relevance is narrow but sharp: it supplies the discipline of a defined measurement rule agreed before work starts, which is what stops a weekly progress figure from being an opinion. In piping that rule is almost always expressed in diameter-inch.
This is an explanation, not the standard. PipingInspector is not affiliated with ISO and reproduces no part of the document. Always work to the current edition of the standard itself and to your project specification.
