ISO 19902
Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries — Fixed Steel Offshore Structures
The design and assessment standard for fixed steel offshore structures, part of the ISO 19900 series. A civil integrity engineer on an onshore facility meets it at the interface — jetties, loading platforms, approach trestles and the splash zone — where it sets the environmental load combinations, the corrosion allowance and coating requirements by zone, and the assessment procedure for an existing installation. Full offshore jacket design sits outside onshore integrity work, but the splash zone provisions apply directly to marine terminal structures.
This is an explanation, not the standard. PipingInspector is not affiliated with ISO and reproduces no part of the document. Always work to the current edition of the standard itself and to your project specification.
