Products and Systems for the Protection and Repair of Concrete Structures
The European series that gives concrete repair a vocabulary and a specification route. Part 9 sets out eleven principles, each a stated intent such as protection against ingress, moisture control, structural strengthening, preserving or restoring passivity, or increasing resistivity, and each principle lists the methods that deliver it. Parts 2 to 7 then define the product classes and their performance requirements, and Part 10 covers site application and quality control. Its discipline is that a repair is specified by the principle it is meant to serve, which forces the diagnosis to be made before the material is chosen.
