CEA Regulations

Central Electricity Authority (Measures Relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations

The Indian statutory electrical safety regulations made under the Electricity Act, covering earthing, clearances, protection, periodic testing, authorised persons and the duties of the electrical supervisor holding a licence. They are the legal backstop behind an electrical integrity programme in India: test intervals and records that a plant might otherwise treat as discretionary are in several cases a statutory obligation, and the authorised-person requirement determines who may carry out the work at all.

This is an explanation, not the standard. PipingInspector is not affiliated with CEA and reproduces no part of the document. Always work to the current edition of the standard itself and to your project specification.
